iPhone suffers from Bad Carriers

Dear Reader,

So yesterday I wrote about the things I really like about the iPhone 4.  So today I tell you what I don’t like.

So what don’t  I like about the iPhone 4.

  • It’s only a little heavier, but it feels heavier.  It really pulls on your shirt pocket now.  You’ll need better shirts and pants pockets.
  • I don’t like the Carriers.  Rogers seems to be the front runner now in terms of economical plans if you are going with a 3 year contract.  Again Rogers has the Better Voice Quality and signal strength finding you in basements, underground parking and elevators. Bell has the faster Data Network.  But a plan based on your usage pattern will still run you between $65.00 and $100.00 a month with the average being $75.00 per month for 200 min./month. Voice and 6 GB data plan with Evenings and Weekends free starting at 6:00 PM with Unlimited Text/Talk to 10 Local numbers.  This phone is not cheap to own.
  • The Warranty.  I don’t think a 1 year Warranty on a Device you have to keep for 3 years is long enough. Sure you can extend it by purchasing after market or other plans but it should be part of your 3 year Carrier Contract.
